DETROIT (Michigan News Source) –  An ice cream shop in Detroit is scooping up more than just dairy treats.

Police in Detroit won’t be able to get ice cream at one shop if they wear body armor.

Cold Truth made the post on social media, saying the armor is intimidating and not welcome in their family-friendly business.

Owner Timothy Mahoney says officers will be served if they remove the vest.

Detroit Police Chief James White issued a statement saying officers wear the armor to ensure they will go home.
