LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Michigan’s election is Tuesday, November 8, but “Election Day” has turned into “Election Season” as Michigan gears up for early voting on Thursday.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • All registered voters can request a absentee ballot for any reason and vote from home.
  • You can vote early and in person starting September 29 by going to your local election clerk’s office and filling out an absentee ballot.
  • You can vote in person on election day when polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

November 8, 2022 marks the midterm elections which are predicted to be monumental both statewide and nationally. Depending on where you live will determine which local and municipal positions and issues for which you’ll cast a ballot. Other top races and proposals include:
