This historical occasion is honored in public schools across the nation on September 17 of each year as Constitution Day; and Whereas Exceptional, visionary and indispensable Americans founded and advanced the United States.”

The resolution goes on to discuss the Declaration of Independence and other important documents in the country’s history and the importance of the American flag and says, “We recognize that each generation needs to renew the spirit of America based on historical figures, founding documents, and symbols of America” and urges the citizens, schools, educational institutions, government agencies, municipalities, non-profit organizations, religious organizations, labor, community and business organizations to recognize and participate in Patriot Week by honoring the celebrating so that all may “offer the reverence that is due to our free republic.”
