EAST LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Gov. Gretchen Whitmer will return to her alma mater to deliver the keynote address at its undergraduate spring commencement.

Whitmer earned an undergraduate degree and a law degree from Michigan State University. The spring convocation ceremony is Friday, May 1 at 12:30 p.m.

In addition, MSU announced two other keynote speakers for graduate ceremonies.

Christopher Fernandez, founder and principal of Agentic Connect, will speak to graduates receiving master’s and educational specialist degrees. University Distinguished Professor Ann Austin will address doctoral candidates in several programs.
