LANSING, Mich. (Great Lakes News) – If you’ve received your COVID-19 vaccine, keep that decision between you and your doctor, not you and your social media audience.

The Better Business Bureau is warning people not to share a photo of their vaccination card on social media. The self-identifying information on the card makes people vulnerable to identity theft and can help scammers create phony versions of the COVID-19 vaccination card.

Officials recommend sharing your vaccine sticker or using a profile frame instead. Also, be sure to tighten security settings on your social media sites.
