LANSING, Mich. (Great Lakes News) – Got a light? Not at smoking lounges around Michigan, as Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s wordplay smothers those businesses.

The Whitmer administration is now requiring masks in smoking lounges at all times. Whitmer’s Department of Health and Human Services quietly issued the order Monday, which effectively closes the businesses.

Patrons who don’t comply face a $200 fine and businesses may also be cited for violations of the order.
