LANSING, Mich. (Great Lakes News) – Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has gone behind the backs of Michigan restaurants and residents and extended indoor dining restrictions into next month.

Gov. Whitmer quietly extended her restaurant restrictions until March 29th. She did this on February 4th, the same day that she lifted play and practice restrictions for Michigan’s youth athletes.

Restaurants and bars recently reopened in-person dining, though capacity closes 75 percent of each indoor dining area.

The Michigan Restaurant and Lodging Association has proposed clear metrics to fully reopen establishments, but so far, the governor has not entertained their ideas.
