LANSING, Mich. (Great Lakes News) – Governor Gretchen Whitmer says she encourages Michigan residents to “support local,” but her actions tell a different story.
A review of campaign finance reports shows Whitmer has paid hundreds of thousand of dollars to out of state political firms. It came to light when her fundraising letter was printed in and postmarked from Wisconsin.
Whitmer’s campaign called it a “mistake,” though the records show she paid the firm over many months.
