KALAMAZOO, Mich. (Great Lakes News) – Pfizer and BioNTech submitted data to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Tuesday which clears the way for anticipated authorization of the pharmaceutical giant’s Covid-19 vaccine in children as young as five.
The data submitted by Pfizer is from a trial on the effects of the COVID-19 vaccine on children between the ages of five and 12.

The Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine is the only one approved by the FDA for people 16 years and up.
It also has Emergency Use Authorization for kids 12-15 years old.
