DETROIT (Great Lakes News) – Doctors at Beaumont Health say the fight against COVID-19 is far from over, and are declaring metro Detroit as a hotspot.
Dr. Nick Gilpin, who is the medical director of infection prevention and epidemiology, said the hospital is now experiencing their fourth surge.

Gilpin adds they now have roughly 400 patients with the virus.
He says an upwards of 70-percent have not been vaccinated.
