Dr. David Moon said he started seeing more ‘TikTok Tics” once the pandemic began. He said it is mostly seen in girls and symptoms are sudden and severe.

Moon believes these tics are also caused by the overuse of social media platforms in general.

The Movement Disorders Medical Journal reports seeing an increase in cases of “TikTok Tics” across the country.
