LANSING, Mich. (Great Lakes News) – Depending on who you ask, Thanksgiving leftovers are almost better than the meal itself. However, you’ll want to keep food safety in mind over the next few days.
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Thanksgiving leftovers are safe to eat for four days. That means the Monday after Thanksgiving is the last day people can safely eat refrigerated leftovers.

In addition, cool food down before placing it in the fridge, and don’t leave perishable food out for longer than 2 hours
