GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Great Lakes News) – A new report says construction jobs in some Michigan cities top averages in the U.S.
According to Construction Coverage, a company that provides financial and tech services for the construction industry, jobs in Grand Rapids pay better than the national average.

The report says construction workers in the Grand Rapids-Kentwood area make an average of $19.17 per hour compared with the national average of $18.22 per hour.
Wages are even better in the Lansing-East Lansing metro area, which ranks fifth nationwide with salaries that average $24.27.
