LANSING, Mich. (Great Lakes News) – According to new data from the Michigan Health & Hospital Association (MHA), most of Michigan residents severely sick with COVID-19 are unvaccinated.

The data shows three out of four COVID patients are unvaccinated. In addition, 87 percent of COVID Intensive Care Unit patients are unvaccinated, while 88% of COVID ventilator patients are unvaccinated.

As the holiday season gets into full swing, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and the MHA are pleading with residents to get vaccinated .
