LANSING, Mich. (Great Lakes News) Lawmakers in Lansing are spending money from the federal government on COVID-19.

Roughly $1.2 billion from the federal government will be spent on COVID-19 relief efforts after lawmakers approved the healthcare-focused supplemental budget bill.
More than $500 million will go for testing, while $300 million will be spent on healthcare recruitment, retention, and training.
In addition, more than $367 million will go towards epidemiology and laboratory grants.
