CHARLOTTE, Mich. (Great Lakes News) – Charlotte Fire Chief Robert Vogel is resigning effective April 4.
He says he is stepping down due to personal reasons.

Vogel’s resignation came the day after most of the department’s volunteer firefighters quit.
The department has six full-time, paid firefighters, all of whom are in administrative roles.
