DETROIT (Great Lakes News) – Pharmaceutical giant Pfizer has started Phases 2 and 3 of a clinical trial involving its COVID-19 antiviral pill in children ages 6 to 17.
The company said Wednesday in a news release that the study will evaluate the safety and efficacy of the treatment in children who have COVID-19 symptoms and a confirmed infection.

In addition, the pill trial will involve children who are not hospitalized.
