A Grand Rapids Police Department video shows an officer shooting Lyoya on April 4th after he resisted arrest and tried to grab the officer’s taser. Toxicology results later showed Lyoya’s blood alcohol level at three times the legal limit.
In addition, police are investigating the vandalizing of several city commissioners’ homes earlier this month.
