GAYLORD, Mich. (Great Lakes News) – The next step in getting federal assistance for Gaylord residents and businesses impacted by Friday’s tornado is speeding up.

A FEMA damage assessment team arrived in the community on Wednesday. It will survey the storm’s path with state and local emergency management officials.
