LANSING, Mich. (Great Lakes News) – Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has vetoed legislation that required voter registration applications to include a statement explaining it’s a felony to try to vote more than once in the same election.

Her office claimed it was a part of a package of measures aimed to “restrict access to the ballot.”

Whitmer has blocked numerous bills over the past seven months which Republicans sponsored as measures to “protect election integrity.”
