LANSING, Mich. (Great Lakes News) – Bills that would remove the state’s 27-cent per gallon fuel tax and the six-percent sales tax from June 15 to September 15 have been approved by Michigan’s Senate.
The bills would lower gas costs by around 50-cents a gallon at current prices.
There was bipartisan support in the Senate and the bills are expected to get the same support in the House.
