GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Lake Michigan beaches will receive some TLC this summer.

The US Army Corps announced they will be working along eroded beaches this summer on Lake Michigan, using dredged sand from harbor mouths across the state.

The Corps has sampled the dredged sand to make sure it is suitable for beach rehabilitation, and they will begin work this week in St. Joseph.   

Other locations this summer will be The Black River channel in South Haven, along with beaches in Holland and Grand Haven.
