FLINT, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Four Michigan GOP gubernatorial candidates took to social media to announce their support of fellow candidate Ryan Kelley, whom F.B.I. officials arrested on Thursday morning at his Allendale home.

Unsealed court documents show Kelley faces four misdemeanor counts for “his involvement” in the January 6th events at the U.S. Capitol.

Kelley is one of five GOP candidates looking to secure the party’s nomination in the August 2nd primary to take on Gov. Gretchen Whitmer in November. They threw their support towards Kelley on Thursday.

Ralph Rebandt posted on Facebook, saying “The left knows no bounds in their attempt to hold on to power by distracting from the abysmal economy, high inflation, high gas prices, and overall ineptitude of President Biden and Gretchen Whitmer.” He went on to say, “I am praying for Ryan and his family. May God have mercy on us all.”
