MUNISING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – If you spot a military plane landing on an Upper Peninsula this summer, do not be alarmed. It’s part of a training exercise.
The Michigan Air National Guard reports it will be partnering with state and local agencies for a military training event in the Munising area in late June. Final details are still being planned.

This will involve a temporary aircraft landing zone on a closed portion of M-28 for a few hours. The training will help teach crews to operate in unplanned environments and situations.
