DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – General Motors is sharing how the state helped them out after their bankruptcy.

General Motors is revealing it received $3.8-billion in tax credits from the state of Michigan after the company filed for bankruptcy in 2009.

The funds came from a Michigan Economic Growth Authority Agreement and GM agreed to a $3.8-billion-dollar cap expected to run from 2010 through 2029.

The company says the funds have led to the creation of more than 10,000 jobs since 2011.
