GRAYLING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Some residents of Grayling and the U.S. National Guard are at odds over an expansion proposal at its Camp Grayling training facility.

While area residents are accustomed to seeing the maneuvers and aircraft near the camp, now the National Guard is looking to almost double the size of Camp Grayling. It wants to lease 162,000 more acres from the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
