DETROIT (Michigan News Source) – Folks are being told to hold off on watering their lawns for a few weeks after a water main break.

Residents in 23 communities are being urged by the Great Lakes Water Authority to stop watering their yards for the next several weeks.

It’s due to repairs being made on a ten-foot water main that broke near Port Huron.

The 23 communities were also included in the original boil water advisory that was scaled back to seven communities.

The repairs will take about three weeks.
