SAWYER, MI (Michigan News Source) – For those who love history and planes, The Airpower History Tour is a must see. And the tour itself is making history because for the first time, it landed in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

The Airpower History Tour is National Air Tour of Historic WWII Aircraft that has toured the country for nearly a decade. The wheels touched down at KI Sawyer International Airport in Marquette County on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Fans could tour and take rides in some the most historic planes still flying today, ranging from bombers, to President Eisenhower’s twin-engine Airforce One, and more.

The tour will make a stop in Alpena on Thursday.
