The Democratic party has touted the idea of Democracy recently, from President Joe Biden all the way down to local officials in all 50 states, despite the fact that the U.S. is a Constitutional Republic.

Last week, Michigan News Source learned that The Thomas More Society, a not-for-profit national public interest law firm, has filed a complaint with Michigan’s Bureau of Elections against Benson arguing her office violated federal law when it hired the Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC) to clean the state’s voter rolls.

In August, the U.S. Western District Court of Michigan denied Benson’s effort to dismiss the Public Interest Legal Foundation’s (PILF) lawsuit for failing to remove close to 26,000 deceased registrants from the state’s voter roll.

Benson can also boast a bigger war chest than her GOP opponent Kristina Karamo. According to the final campaign finance reports filed before the upcoming midterm election, Benson holds a $3.1 million cash advantage over Karamo.

Karamo has been an outspoken critic of Michigan’s election integrity and claimed she saw discrepancies while working as a poll challenger in Detroit in 2020.
