LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Michigan GOP gubernatorial candidate Tudor Dixon has launched a new portal called “How Has Whitmer Hurt You.”

Dixon’s campaign is encouraging residents of Michigan to share their stories about what Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s “oppressive reign over Michigan” has done to them personally. Dixon says, “When Gretchen Whitmer locked down the state of Michigan during the COVID-19 pandemic, she left a trail of devastation in her path.”

The portal is asking for an account of that devastation so that Dixon can hold the governor accountable and let Michigan voters know what happened to their neighbors across the state.

Personally, Dixon has talked about the effects that Whitmer’s lockdown has had on her children during remote learning and her family not being able to see Dixon’s dying grandmother before she died.

In addition to the pandemic lockdowns, Dixon is also soliciting information on how crime and government overreach has affected voters in Michigan. The portal includes questions about business shut downs, kids and schools, nursing home deaths, violent crimes, forced re-location out of state or anything else that changed the lives of Michigan residents under the Whitmer administration.

The portal also asks if the campaign has permission to contact the person reporting their information to the campaign. It’s likely Michiganders will see these stories in TV ads and/or social media in the remaining 53 days of the campaign.
