TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – More than 230 cases of the monkeypox virus have been identified in the state of Michigan, and now the first case in northern Michigan has popped up.
The first case of monkeypox has been identified in Grand Traverse County, according to the Grand Traverse County Health Department.

The individual is currently isolated and does not pose a risk to the public.
Symptoms of the monkeypox virus can include fever, headache, muscle aches, swollen lymph nodes, chills, exhaustion, and a rash.
