LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Despite President Joe Biden declaring the COVID-19 over on “60 Minutes” last week, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) appears to have not received the message.
According to CDC calculations, Michigan has seven counties at a high COVID-19 Community Level this week. The agency is recommending people in the following counties mask up: Macomb, St. Clair, Gratiot, Montcalm, Delta, Dickinson and Iron counties.

The CDC Community Level numbers can be viewed here. It classifies areas as low, medium, or high when it comes to COVID-19 risk. According to its own numbers, the CDC says Michigan has 33 counties at a medium level and 43 counties at a low COVID-19 Community Level this week.
