ANN ARBOR, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Electric vehicles owners in Ann Arbor must dig into their pockets.
Ann Arbor is now charging drivers who use EV charging stations at downtown parking facilities.

Drivers must pay 25 cents per kilowatt hour while their cars charge at downtown spots in addition to the $1.20 an hour they pay to park in the structures.
The Downtown Development Authority says the new charging fee is meant to be revenue-neutral.
The fees will cover administrative costs, the cost of the energy from DTE Energy, city hall costs and the costs to maintain and operate the chargers.
