YPSILANTI, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Eastern Michigan University’s Board of Regents has given the approval of a new four-year contract with 506 faculty members.

The American Association of University Professors ratified the contract on September 23 contract by a 96-percent vote following a strike from September 7th through the 11th.

Professors were back in class the 12th after reaching a tentative deal.

EMU president James Smith called it a good day for Eastern Michigan University students and the campus community.
