LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – The Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) along with the Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) say two, 55-gallon drums were intentionally dumped in a ditch off Marquette County Road 565, in Richmond Township, near Palmer.
Officials say an absorbent boom was placed around the site to help prevent the spread of materials after a small release of chemical substances from the barrel was stopped.

One of the barrels is reddish-orange and the other is green. Both have a white stripe across the midsection. The orange barrel’s markings say it contained “Safe-Tee Solvent” and the other is marked to contain “Quaker State Motor Oil.”
