SAULT SAINT MARIE, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – According to AAA, gas price averages jumped by double digits in the past week and rose 23 cents.

The current state average for a gallon of regular unleaded gas is $4.17 per gallon. This price is 33 cents more than this time last month and 96 cents more than this time last year.

Once again, the highest prices hail from Schoolcraft County in the Upper Peninsula. Drivers are paying $4.41 per gallon there. The national average is currently $3.80 per gallon.
