MENONOMINEE, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A fire in the Upper Peninsula has burned for five days after it started, and it is expected to keep burning for several more even though it is contained. 

On October 6th, the Resolute Forest Products in Menominee caught on fire.

Firefighters from across Michigan and Wisconsin have helped the U.P. town relieve local firefighters who have been on the scene of the paper-mill fire around the clock. 

Officials say the fire started in a rented warehouse that serves as a recycled pulp mill. No injuries were reported.
