FLINT, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – As of Monday, more than 50 people have died from after heavy snow and frigid temperatures pummeled the U.S., including Michigan.

NBC News is reporting the deaths during the “bomb cyclone” were recorded in at least 12 states, including Michigan, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Wisconsin.

In Clinton County, a snow plow driver clearing the parking lot of the Timber Ridge Village assisted living community discovered a resident curled up in the snow. Rescue crews transported the 82-year-old to the hospital where she later died.

The Bath Township Police Department are investigating.
