LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A Court of Appeals ruling is reversing a decision to raise wages for Michigan employees.

On Thursday, the court reversed a decision to raise Michigan’s minimum and tipped wage increase. In 25 days, wages were slated to rise to $13.03 and $11.73 for tipped employees.

Instead, it will stay at $10.10 minimum wage and $3.84 for tipped employees.

Opponents of the wage hike say it would put countless restaurants out of business.

Both parties have vowed to take this issue to the Michigan Supreme Court. They have 42 days to submit the case for consideration.
