KALAMAZOO, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A Kalamazoo Public Safety officer is facing fraud charges after being arrested on Sunday near Atlanta, Georgia.
The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety said it placed Officer Catrice Lockett on upon learning of her arrest.

Both Lockett and her fiancé face charges of insurance fraud, according to a report from the Douglas County Sentinel in Georgia.
Lockett has been a Kalamazoo Public Safety Officer since 2014. Police records show that before that she worked as a school resource officer at Loy Norrix High School.
This is second time in the last month the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety has been in the news. At the end of December, the department announced Chief Vernon Coakley had been let go after credible allegations of sexual harassment.
