MOHAWK, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A highly-rated and popular ski resort in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan called Mount Bohemia is teaming up with LUME, a Michigan cannabis retailer with 32 locations, for a one-of-a-kind promotion for Thursday nights.

The Mount Bohemia ski resort is in the Keweenaw Peninsula which is northernmost part of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and they announced on social media recently that for the next five Thursdays they are offering free skiing from 3 to 8 pm with a receipt from LUME showing a purchase of $50 or more that was made in the past five days. The offer started yesterday, January 26th and the receipt can cover anything that is purchased from LUME.

The website for the ski resort boasts “the longest runs with the highest vertical and deepest powder in the Midwest” with the peninsula averaging 273 inches of snow each year. They say, “The lake effect snow is dry similar to western resorts and accumulates as powder which is untouched because we do not groom. This makes for a great morning to make the first tracks.”

The ski resort’s Facebook page says about the cannabis promotion, “Mark your calendars and enjoy Bohemia under the stars.”

However, don’t think that it’s okay to puff and ski because anyone who is visibly high (or drunk) is not allowed on their slopes. Furthermore, the management told Michigan News Source that if you bring your cannabis with you, please note that Mount Bohemia follows all Michigan laws regarding cannabis use. That means that marijuana consumption on public property or public places (schools, hospitals, cars, parks, bars, etc.) is banned and considered a civil infraction.
