LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – While nearly a dozen people have thrown their hat into the ring for Michigan GOP Chair, one candidate is standing out with a noteworthy endorsement.

Michigan native and former rock star Ted Nugent announced his endorsement of Scott Greenlee for the head of the state’s party.

There are eleven candidates running to fill the seat of current chairs Ron Weiser and Meshawn Maddock. Both Weiser and Maddock have declined to run for reelection. The list of candidates is Scott Aughney, Kent Boersema Drew Born, Matt DePerno, Lena Epstein, Michael Farage, Mark Forton, JD Glaser, Scott Greenlee, Kristina Karamo, and Billy Putman.

The election for Michigan GOP will take place at a convention in Lansing on February 17 and 18.
