GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – In the latest NCAA Division III national poll, Calvin University jumped to 14th moving up four spots from 18th. They are currently 9-0 in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association leading Trine University by one game.

At 17-3, Calvin has won their last nine games and are 10-0 at home this year. In the NCAA, the team has also cracked the top 10 in different statistical categories. They are fifth in rebound margin at positive 11 rebounds and ninth in defensive scoring at 59.1 points per game. They are also 17th in defensive field goal percentage at .383.

Uchenna Egekeze is 36th in the nation in steals per game at 2.41 and Jalen Overway is 15th in double-doubles at 11.

The great rivalry tradition against Hope College will take place on February 15 at the Spoelhof Fieldhouse Complex. Calvin won the first meeting, 81-49, on January 11 in Grand Rapids.

Calvin went 22-9 last year advancing to the Sweet 16 falling to eventual national runner-up Elmhurst University.
