LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Anyone dreaming of warmer temperatures and hitching up the camper to head to the state parks this summer should check the calendar first.

Several campgrounds will delay opening dates until July since they will be using 250 million in Federal COVID-19 Relief Funding to complete updates.

The parks with delayed openings are Interlochen State Park, The Beachwood Campground at Ludington State Park, the East Campground at North Higgins Lake State Park, Straits State Park and Mitchell State Park in Cadillac.
