“We owe it to the people that no stone be unturned, and that the truth come to light,” Friske said.

Friske’s call for the subpoena comes after Project Veritas released a video which shows an alleged high-level Pfizer employee saying the company has considered altering strains of COVID-19 in order to manufacture more virus. This is referred to as “gain of function” research.

Pfizer has denied the allegations.

At the rally, Friske was joined at the podium by eight other lawmakers: Rep. James DeSana (R-Carleton), Rep. Joseph Fox (R-Fremont), Rep. Matt Maddock (R-Milford), Rep. Angela Rigas (R-Alto), Rep. Rachelle Smit (R-Martin), State Sen. Jonathan Lindsey (R-Coldwater), Rep. Steve Carra (R-Three Rivers), and Rep. Brad Paquette (R-Berrien Springs).
