WASHINGTON (Michigan News Source) – U.S. Energy Secretary and former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm is applauding China for its energy goals, and said Americans can learn from the Communist nation because “China has been very sensitive and has actually invested a lot in their solutions to achieve their goals.”

In an interview last Friday at the 2023 South by Southwest conference, Granholm said the amount of money China is investing in clean energy is “encouraging.”

In addition, Granholm said “We’re all hopeful we can learn from what China is doing.”

The Democrat Party has been increasingly outspoken about an “ongoing climate crisis” in an effort to tax and control parts of the market. In Michigan, Granholm protege Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, has forked out more than $700 million for automaker Ford to partner with a Chinese company and build electric vehicle batteries in Marshall.
