WASHINGTON (Michigan News Source) – Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has been named one of President Joe Biden’s co-chairs in his reelection campaign.

Some see Whitmer as a rising star in the Democratic Party, and her connection to Michigan is important to Biden ‘s campaign since it is viewed as a key battleground state.
The Biden campaign passed over Whitmer as a vice president pick in 2020 and opted for Kamala Harris instead since Biden had promised to run with “a woman of color.”
