LANSING, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – Insurance companies have agreed to maintain no-cost preventive healthcare in Michigan.
The move comes after a Texas federal judge struck down the no-cost preventive health care requirement under the Affordable Care Act.

While the ruling in Braidwood Management, Inc. v. Becerra is under appeal, roughly 2.1 million Michiganders who would have lost their preventive healthcare coverage under the ruling will maintain their current coverage.
Preventive health care includes access to many types of screenings, medications and vaccinations, and counseling services.
