KALAMAZOO, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A 38-year-old Kalamazoo man is facing federal charges of distributing fentanyl that caused someone to die in November 2022.

U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Michigan Mark Totten says the man possessed at least 40 grams of fentanyl and planned to sell that in December 2022. He will be arraigned Friday in federal court in Grand Rapids. The man faces at least 20 years in prison if convicted.

The Attorney’s Office and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration added more than four million doses of Fentanyl was seized in Michigan and Ohio between May 23-Sept. 8, 2022, as part of the “One Pill Can Kill” enforcement operation.
