SAGINAW, Mich. (Michigan News Source) – A 10-year-old is being lodged at a juvenile detention facility after Michigan State Police troopers said the child stole a vehicle and fled from police on I-75.
Troopers said the stolen 2017 Buick Encore was taken from a Buena Vista home on May 27.

Saginaw County Central Dispatch said OnStar alerted them to a stolen car traveling southbound on I-75 near the Birch Run exit. Troopers attempted to stop the car, but the driver did not stop. OnStar disabled the car safely.
The car came to a stop after bumping into a guardrail and caused minor damage to the vehicle. No one was injured.
State Police said the child was taken into custody after running from the stolen car, and lodged at the Saginaw County Juvenile Detention Center.
